"To see how the world could be, in spite of the way that it is." ~Hadestown
Musical theatre is so special because I believe IT finds people when they are ready to receive it most fully, not the other way around.
For some, that’s early in life, but for others like me, it finds us as adults. Theatre found me after my sister and I spent our own, adult money on tickets to a local production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame because it was her favorite movie growing up. I walked away from that experience with not just a spark of curiosity but a blazing inferno that pushed me to act immediately and seek out places where I could learn to be part of something like that; to contribute anything I have worth value to a collective effort that creates living art. I’m grateful that CenterPoint Theatre has become that place for me and I’ve been actively learning from and participating in productions in a multitude of ways here since 2019.
My background in music, including a bachelor’s in music emphasizing in percussion, has definitely contributed to my desire to operate in this current position as an A1 Audio Engineer. It is a real privilege to carefully curate the audience’s aural experience of a show, and I am excited to operate at the helm more consistently for CenterPoint productions.
In my free time, I’m probably cleaning, building Lego kits, enjoying any Major League Baseball game, or spending intentional time with my family at sporting activities, traveling on vacation, or weekly dinners.
