Finding Lifelong Friends Through Theatre
My experience in the academy is one that words can barely describe. I’ve loved it so much. Aside from learning how to be a better actor, I’ve learned how to be a better person. The environment there is so friendly, loving, and inviting. You’re surrounded by kids who have gone and are going through the things you are. I’ve made lifelong friends there. I always look forward to academy day because I get to go to a non-judgemental place where I can just be myself. I couldn’t be happier with it and recommend it to anyone who loves the theatre. So Much Love, Growth, and Confidence
Grace has had a wonderful experience at the academy! She has been treated with so much love and kindness and has been challenged artistically in many areas. The school staff works incredibly hard to give each child an amazing experience and are highly skilled in their craft and teaching skills. Thank you CenterPoint Academy!
A Place Where I Can Be My Weird Self
I love that i’m not just a putting on a shoe. i’m gaining experience and i’m making friends. i feel safe and welcome at cpt and i am so glad to finally have a place where a can be my weird self!
Helping Our Daughter Find Her Voice
Before putting my daughter in acting she was terribly shy. CenterPoint has helped her to come out of that shyness and express herself. She talks about how much she loves acting all of the time. It has really helped her confidence as well as put a consistent smile on her face. We love CenterPoint.
A Foundation That Goes Beyond the Stage
This has been such a building block and foundation for Rachel, she has learned more than singing and acting skills, she has developed good traits and qualities like integrity, being responsible for ones actions and promises. She has learned how to work as a team, gain confidence, how to speak for herself. Probably the most impactful part has been the friends she has made, good kids and even better teachers. She feels safe and comfortable and wants to be a part of something greater than herself.
Kind Instructors Who Truly Build Kids Up
This is our second year at CenterPoint Academy and we absolutely love it! I love how positive and kind the instructors are. They build self-confidence in these kids, something that they will carry with them throughout their lives. I also love how they teach the kids self-reliance. The kids are learning responsibility and accountability.
Helping Kids Become Their Best Selves
My daughter has been involved with the academy for a few years now. Not only has she had the opportunity and direction to grow and develop her talents but she has grown as a person. She has learned the value of friendship and support of her peers. She has learned the value of each and every person in a production. There are no small parts…! She has gained strength and courage in her ability to be in front of an audience speaking and performing. Her self esteem has blossomed. I appreciate so much the love and attention all of the instructors give the kids in helping them to express themselves and be the best they can be!

More Confident Than Ever
As a parent I absolutely love the CenterPoint Academy. They have unlocked a whole world for my son. He comes home from class on a high and the joy on his face when he is performing is priceless. They are instilling a confidence in him that is awe inspiring.
Where Loss Turned Into Inspiration
My daughter had been an avid tumbler for years. She experienced a back injury and was unable to tumble anymore. She lost her identity and didn’t know what to do. She became a different person and was very sad most of the time. We enrolled her in CenterPoint Academy and it completely changed her!! She started smiling and laughing again and started working harder than she’s ever worked in her life. She loves CenterPoint Academy and the people there. CenterPoint Academy has given her a new identity, and it is amazing how inspired she is now!
Better Than Disneyland
CenterPoint Academy is the best place on earth. Maybe even better than Disneyland. Seriously. For the past five years I have become more confident in performing, my abilities, and most importantly, I have made bonds and friendships that will last a lifetime. The instructors are so loving and accepting of everyone who takes the class. They have taught me so much about performing, acting, inspiring the audience, and most importantly they have taught me how to be a better person. I am so thankful for Academy and for all the wonderful experiences that I’ve gotten out of it.
A Parent’s Heart Full of Pride
Well, l have loved seeing my daughter grow in her talents! We have loved the opportunities that CenterPoint has given her. My heart always swells as l watch her perform & do what she loves to do. I am grateful for the teachers and all the hard work they put into the shows. It would be so great to have a better sound system in the Black Box theater!!
Excelling in School Through Theatre
Recently Katie was required to give an oral presentation in her AP English class. Many of the students struggled with the assignment because they felt self-conscious and uncomfortable speaking in front of the class, and lost points on the assignment. Katie, however, received a 7 out of 6. She and I discussed how her experiences on stage have given her confidence and poise in a public setting. She was able to transfer her skills from theater to the classroom setting, and will utilize them throughout her future career and community endeavors. We are grateful for the skills and talents Katie has been able to learn and polish through her classes and theater productions at CenterPoint Academy.
More Than We Ever Hoped For
I can’t even put into words how CenterPoint Academy has positively affected my daughter. She has ALWAYS loved acting and for several years we had bounced around from program to program trying to find her a home where she could grow into the performer she had inside. Nothing ever fit, until we found CenterPoint. This well-oiled machine has completely transformed my daughter. The safety she feels there – physically and emotionally – has brought out pieces of her I didn’t even know were there. The instructors treat her as their own and it is such a comfort to me that while she is there, she is loved, supported, and pushed to grow just as she is at home. We always joke that CenterPoint is her second home and I’m so grateful it is. There is no place she would rather be and I couldn’t ask for anything more from this amazing program :)
She Wants to Stay at CenterPoint Forever
Lillian has had so much fun at CenterPoint! She is in her second year with the academy and has been to their summer camp for two years in a row. She has made so many friends and has learned so much about theater. She wants to continue on with CenterPoint forever she says. She loves all of the instructors that she has had. I love their small class sizes and shows that include one cast, unlike other theater academies Lillian has been in that have multiple casts for each part. We have had such a great experience and plan to stay with CenterPoint for a very long time!
Exactly What Kids Need
We are beyond impressed with CenterPoint Academy! We tell everyone we can to enroll their kids because the environment, instructors, opportunities, and concern for the individual are just outstanding. While we like organized sports and our kids frequently participate in them, it is sometimes frustrating to see coaches that yell at the kids or will only play the best players so the team can win, while often disregarding the learning opportunities that all of the kids could enjoy. CenterPoint Academy is different and refreshing in that they are truly and honestly more concerned with the growth and experiences of each child. The kids learn, grown, develop friendships, and nurture confidence at CA. We need more places like CenterPoint Academy in the world!!!
Three Years of Remarkable Growth
Meg was such a shy kid, painfully shy…like throw up before you go to school every day, shy and anxiety so bad. When she came to me and asked to join CenterPoint to start singing and acting, I was totally caught off guard. I think I might have actually laughed a little until I realized she was serious. We signed her up and thought she would maybe last for one year. Well…here we are on her third year and this girl has grown so much! She has the confidence we always wanted her to have. What she has learned is priceless, confidence, self respect, she has become a leader, more kind, more understanding and accepting of others with differences, outgoing and has grown to love music and singing. I couldn’t be more grateful for what the Academy has done for our daughter. CenterPoint Academy is more than just acting, it’s helping these kids grow into amazing people!
A Gift to Our Kids and Our Family
Where do I start? The Academy is incredible and the shows are amazing! I continue to be blown away every time I walk into that black box to watch a production that my kids are in. If you had a camera on me you would see I’m smiling from ear to ear during the entire show. I also shed a few tears because I’m so happy and because I’m just that kind of a guy. The confidence, ability, talent, self esteem, team work, dedication, inspiration, and fun that the Academy instills in all of these kids is second to none! Thank you for making this a significant part of our children’s development and our families wholesome enjoyment!

I’ve been absolutely thrilled with the academy and have sent many students there. I love all the little life lessons they learn in theater. I’m also super appreciative of the self-esteem they have gained while taking these classes.
