Laurie Hahn

House Manager/Volunteer Coordinator

CenterPoint Theatre is truly my home away from home—my happy place. I’ve lived in Centerville for more than 60 years (give or take a few for schooling and a mission), and I genuinely love the people who walk through our doors. This place gives me countless opportunities to pass along joy and happiness—offered quietly through a smile, a welcoming gesture, or a kind embrace. One of my favorite quotes is, “One act of kindness can change a person’s outlook on life forever.”

My journey with theater began at Rodgers Memorial Theatre, where my husband, Brian, was acting. I helped wherever I was needed—ticketing, ushering, greeting—and quickly fell in love with the sense of community the theater creates. When CenterPoint opened its doors, I became the house manager and volunteer coordinator, and it has been my privilege to serve in that role since the very beginning. In the summer of 2025, Brian and I teamed up to continue managing the house, overseeing ushers for the Main Stage, Second Stage, and Academy productions, as well as auditions for the theater’s many shows. I’ve been with CenterPoint since day one, and what a beautiful, joy-filled journey it has been.

I absolutely adore our ushers and greeters, and when we’re fully staffed, you’ll probably catch me doing a little happy dance. Our volunteers are an incredible blessing—we truly couldn’t do what we do at the theater without them.

Brian and I have always loved being at CenterPoint together. Over the years, we have spent thousands of hours supporting its shows and events, and those hours are among our most cherished. We have been blessed with children and grandchildren who are—quite frankly—practically perfect in every way, and who, especially in those early years, devoted countless hours of their time building, painting, and striking sets in the Second Stage theater, as well as ushering and helping with events. For us, theater has never been just a place or a pastime—it has always been a family affair.
