Profession: Associate General Counsel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

I am excited to be back in the US and be asked to rejoin the CenterPoint Theatre Board of Directors after a two year leave of absence. I have had the opportunity with my wife and children to perform in several productions over the years, going back to the Rodgers Memorial days. We were most often cast in Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol.

This beautiful facility and quality of performances provided to our community are astoundingly good! As long-time Centerville residents my wife Tricia and I see the profound benefits the theater has brought to our family and community, including to our children who were Academy students–HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to teach confidence in front of crowds.

The show will go on, and it is exciting to support its work and see its ongoing profound impact. I am currently Associate General Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with responsibility for its international legal affairs. In late 2024 we returned from our service in Africa as Area Legal Counsel in Africa South to take on this new role.

Previously I practiced law with Kirton McConkie in Salt Lake, where I served for many years as firm President, as a member of the executive committee, and as a member of the board. It is a great honor to be part of such a beneficial community resource. In the words of Charles Dickens, “It is a fair, even-handed, noble adjustment of things, that while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour.” May this theatre continue to be a source of joy to us all.
