Shelby Ferrin

Shelby is proud to contribute to the Utah theatre community. As the son of a 42-year-old theatre educator, he is thrilled to be picking up that mantle and working with these amazing kids. Shelby came to CPT as an actor in 2014 and began directing on the main stage in 2019 (where he has helmed The Music Man, A Christmas Carol, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, She Loves Me, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder). When he’s not at the theatre, he enjoys baking artisan sourdough, smoking delicious meats, and cultivating bonsai trees – but let’s be honest, when is he not at the theatre? In all parts of his life, he just wants to create beauty and make the world a little better.
